Brad Penn SAE 30w Engine Break In Oil
BRAD PENN | Part# BPO-30 BREAK-IN
SAE 30 mono-grade oil formulated specifically to meet the critical lubrication needs of new engines during break-in while allowing proper seating of rings and component run-in. Enhanced levels of zinc (zinc dialkyldithiophosphate also known as ZDDP) and superior oil film strength from Penn Grade base oils offer complete anti-wear, anti-scuffing protection for even the most demanding of applications such as those presented by break-in of engines with flat tappet cams.
This oil has a weight of SAE 30, meaning it has an SAE viscosity rating of 30 at normal operating temperature. Always check your vehicle's owner's manual to verify that this is the correct weight of motor oil for your vehicle.
Conventional Motor Oil
This oil is a conventional motor oil, meaning it is refined from crude oil or petroleum products. Conventional motor oils may or may not have additives included after refining. Conventional motor oils are more versatile than synthetic or hybrid motor oils, because they are suitable for use with nearly all types of modern vehicle engines, from cars and trucks to motorcycles, ATVs, farm equipment, and more.
Break-in oil is primarily designed to protect the ring seals and rotating assembly components of new vehicles, reducing initial start up wear. Highly refined mineral oil is usually preferred for engine break-in oil, with additives (usually containing zinc) often added.
Whether from the everyday demands of the road, racing or just hard driving, without the right protection, your car will lack efficiency, wear down faster and under-perform.
That’s why we recommend the motor oil endorsed for decades by racers, engine builders, and manufacturers: PennGrade1. It delivers excellent shock load and temperature protection to engine parts, while providing:
- Film strength/protection under demanding torque
- Anti-foaming, stability and high temperature protection
- Detergent/dispersant additives for engine cleanliness
- Oxidation and foam inhibitors to protect against thermal degradation, air entrainment
The result is reduced internal friction, strong anti-wear, and increased horsepower.
Formerly known as Brad Penn Motor Oil, PennGrade1’s power comes from its base: Pennsylvania-grade crude oil, long recognized as one of the best worldwide sources of high quality lubricant base stocks. Known for its green color, track record of proven quality and exceptional ability to cling to metal, this stock is tenacious. It minimizes wear when stressed, even during dry or cold starts.
It has a long history and track record of proven quality.
Use the oil the pros use.
